This annual gathering convenes stakeholders, community leaders and government agencies who are invested in our region’s clean energy future. The networking and learning event is aimed at advancing clean energy opportunities that benefit communities, businesses and residents across the state and utilizing lessons learned in our rural North Country region to meet clean energy goals statewide.

Join us for a free informational photovoltaic solar installation course

The Center for Workforce, Community & Industry Partnerships (WCIP) at SUNY Canton will host a free informational photovoltaic solar installation course this summer.

Attendees will learn the fundamentals of photovoltaic systems and how to handle and install components safely. The instruction is a partnership between WCIP and the Adirondack North Country Association, with funding support from NYSERDA. The course is free and open to the public, and no electrical experience is necessary.

• When: You have the option between two available sessions. Each session will be held throughout four weekday evenings, followed by an eight-hour weekend lesson.

STEM Summer Camp for 7th-12th Graders

Join us this summer in the driver’s seat for intense fender-to-fender, high-flying off-road action where you will retrofit an RC car to improve drive time. Campers will engage in sustainability and learn how modifications, including tires and solar charging can impact the performance of a vehicle. At the end of the week you will race your modified car and the best performer wins! Each camper will be allowed to take home their RC car and equipment.

STEM Summer Camp for 5th-8th Graders

Join us this summer for a week of STEM related exploration focusing on sustainability. Campers will engage in the process of sustainability through hands-on experiments targeting solar, hydro, wind, building, and living activities. Each day you will be tasked with a new STEM activity fostering an enthusiasm for sustainable building.
