Lewis County Residents: County Climate Planning Workshop #1

Lewis County is partnering with the Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA) to develop a County-Wide Climate Change Adaptation & Resilience Plan (CCARP). 

Participants will explore how climate hazards (e.g. flooding, high winds, drought) have the potential to impact Lewis County now and in the future. Together, we will identify what places, assets, and services to include in the plan and determine their vulnerability to climate hazards. 

This will build into a second workshop, where we will identify adaptation actions to address the vulnerabilities prioritized in the first workshop. In the end, the plan will give Lewis County the tools to protect what matters most — our homes, our neighborhoods, and our future — by making safety a shared priority.
